“ We had a wonderful experience when dining for the first time last weekend for a birthday celebration. We had the window table which was lovely. The food was all delicious, starters, mains and dessert, really good quality and beautifully presented. The staff were all so lovely, even though they were constantly on the go the whole night as it was very busy. We thought it was very good value for the high level of food. The wine menu was very good too with lots of choice. A gem of a restaurant, and we will definitely be back. ”
“ Wow ! Just had an amazing meal in 51 . We sat at the counter top and it felt like we were the only 2 in the room . Comfort meets class . The food is just 10/10 everything , left wanting more of everything ! Desert was world class . Wine was fabulous, and help to pick which one we would like . Customer service was outstanding such friendly staff , making you feel so welcome and chatting to you throughout but this didn’t take from the intimacy the setting creates and just the welcoming happy vibes the room leaves off . We will definitely be returning ! Thank you . ”

“ Popped in with my wife on a Saturday evening and wow was it busy!!! A great sign for a place right? First, the food. The menu is very interesting with an excellent selection. I had pickled muscles for start, and the rump for main. The pickled muscles were tasty, but somewhat lacking the actual flavour of being pickled. The Rump was a touch overdone and not served with a side which was surprising. My wife had fried oysters to start, and steak tartar for main. I see in other comments that the owner has defended the cost while talking about challenging prices in the business. I would see this as fair, however, it would stand to reason that serving a steak in sauce and nothing else with it is a somewhat sad looking plate. If other business are managing a little something on the side, it may be worth taking a look at how the dish is presented here. The atmosphere was busy, however downside of this was that it would be easier to hold a conversation next to a screaming toddler than here due to the mighty background noise. This is not really the fault of the restaurant as it is the size that it is, just be aware that you may need to perfect your lip reading before arriving. The staff were lovely and very helpful so a big thanks to them! Would I come back? No, too loud but that is just a me problem. ”

And the service was excellent and there’s a warm, inviting atmosphere in this fabulous restaurant. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back soon. ”
